Olga Russell was born in Alexandrovsk, Russia and grew up in Perm, Russia. She has a B.A. and an M.A. in both German as a Foreign Language and Slavonic Studies (Russian and Polish) from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. Her teaching experience includes one year of teaching all levels of German at East Central College in Union, Missouri. She has been teaching The Culture and History of Germany at Lindenwood University since 2007. Olga joined the Modern Language Department at John Burroughs in 2008. She teaches all levels of German and a Russian elective that is offered for sophomores, juniors and seniors. Her outside interests include traveling (especially to Germany), reading, sports and watching movies. In addition to teaching, Olga is an advisor and organizes the German exchange program.
