French Trip: Paris Cultural Adventure

The French Department sponsors a trip to Paris, France for sophomores, juniors and seniors during Spring Break of even-numbered years. The purpose of the trip is for the students to immerse themselves in the local culture that Paris has to offer: museums, monuments, restaurants, theater, movies, etc. Please note: this program does not have a homestay component.   • Le musée Carnavalet
  • Le musée d'Orsay
  • Le centre Georges Pompidou (museum of modern art)
  • Le musée Rodin
  • Le musée Picasso
  • L'Orangerie


  • L'Arc de Triomphe
  • Le Panthéon
  • Hôtel des Invalides (Napolean's tomb)
  • La Tour Eiffel
  • La Cathédrale de Notre-Dame
  • La Basilique de Sacré-Cœur
  • L'Opéra
  • Versailles (château & gardens)
  • Pierrefonds (the town, château and two-day B & B stay)

Cultural Activities:    

French movies, two theater performances (a musical concert, dance performance, and/or play in French), shopping excursion to «Le Printemps» (oldest department store in Paris), visits to the Luxembourg & Tuileries gardens, boat tour on the Seine river, visits of famous neighborhoods (the Marais, the Latin quarter, Montmartre, the Rive Droite), visit to a Parisian open-air market and lots of wonderful French meals!
